An equilateral triangle of side 10 cm is held parallel to horizontal plane and base is parallel to xy reference line. The length of line from side view will be _____

I had been asked this question in an interview.

My question is taken from Projection of Planes Parallel to one of the Reference Plane in division Projection of Planes of Engineering Drawing

Correct answer is (a) 8.66 cm

Easiest explanation: Just by visualizing we can get picture and then as the base is parallel to xy reference plane the side view and front view will be a line and front view gives line of length equal to side of triangle given and side view gives the height of triangle.
