The correct choice is (b) Plain gauges

For explanation: Screw thread gauges wear more rapidly than plain gauges. When effective diameter NOT GO and full form GO ring gauges are used, manufacturing tolerance of work is reduced by the amount that must be allowed for wear in the full form ring gauges.
