I got this question in an internship interview.

My question is taken from Saponification Value topic in section Lubricants of Applied Chemistry

Right option is (b) Potassium of fatty acid

The explanation is: Triglyceride reacts with glycerol to produce the potassium of fatty acids. The potassium of fatty acids are called as soaps. Mainly alkyl groups of triglycerides and glycerol are made to react.
