Statement: A digit, when used in the CFG notation, will always be used as a terminal.

I had been asked this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My query is from Finding Patterns in Text,Algebric Laws and Derivatives in portion Regular Expressions and Languages of Automata Theory

Correct choice is (a) State true or false?

To explain I would say: Lowercase letters near the beginning of an alphabet, a, b and so on are terminal symbols. We shall also assume that digits and other characters such as + or parenthesis are terminals.
