What is the brake power if the swept volume is 3.5 liters, brake mean effective pressure is 10 bars, and speed is 6000 rpm?

Correct choice is (a) 175 kW

To elaborate: Given swept volume = 3.5 liters, brake mean effective pressure = 10 bars & speed = 6000 rpm.

Brake power = \(\frac{brake \,mean \,effective \,pressure \,X \,swept \,volume \,X \,no.of \,cylinder \,X \,no.of \,power \,strokes}{60000} \)

= \(\frac{3.5 × 10 × 10^5 × 6000}{1000 × 60000 × 2}\) = 175 kW.
