Which force is the reason for the downward moment of the piston during power stroke?

(a) Fuel pressure

(b) Gas pressure

(c) Solid pressure

(d) Liquid pressure

I have been asked this question during a job interview.

I would like to ask this question from IC Engine in chapter Design of IC Engine Components of Automotive Engine Design

Right choice is (b) Gas pressure

To explain: Pistons transmit the force due to gas pressure inside the cylinder to the crankshaft through the connecting rod. The gas pressure is created by the combustion inside the engine.
