I have been asked this question in a national level competition.

I'm obligated to ask this question of IC Engine in chapter Design of IC Engine Components of Automotive Engine Design

Correct option is (d) Drop forging process

To explain I would say: The crankshaft is subjected to fluctuating stresses and it should have sufficient endurance limit stress. Parts manufactured with Forging can withstand high stresses
