Right choice is (c) Lead sulphate

The best I can explain: During the process of discharge the chemical reactions forms lead sulphate on both the positive and negative plate thereby liberating water. The specific gravity of the electrolyte is lowered. The specific gravity is a good indication of the state of charge of a battery.
