Which of the following statement is true for the movement of electrons concerning the direction of current?

(a) Same as the direction of current

(b) Opposite direction of current

(c) Does not depend on the direction of current

The question was asked during an online interview.

My question is based upon Lithium-Ion Battery in portion Storage Batteries of Automotive Engine Design

Right choice is (b) Opposite direction of current

The best explanation: During the charging mechanism of lithium-ion battery the current flows from the anode to the cathode whereas the electrons present in the cathode move from cathode to anode thus the movement of the electrons is opposite when compared to the direction of current flow.
