What is the upper sideband frequency if the carrier frequency and the modulating signal frequency is 30 KHz and 80 Hz respectively?

(a) 3000Hz

(b) 30.8KHz

(c) 3080KHz

(d) 30.8Hz

I got this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

My question is from Sidebands and Frequency Domain in division Amplitude & Frequency Modulation of Avionics

The correct choice is (b) 30.8KHz

The best I can explain: Upper sideband frequency = carrier frequency +modulating signal frequency = 3000Hz + 80Hz = 3080Hz = 30.8KHz.
