Which of the following cannot be used to obtain an approximate velocity?

(a) GPS

(b) Doppler radar system

(c) Inertial navigation system

(d) Primary radar

I have been asked this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

This key question is from Helicopter, Optical and Hyper Sonic Air Data in division Air Data Systems, Altitude and Heading Reference of Avionics

Correct option is (d) Primary radar

For explanation: Velocity from Doppler, inertial and GPS can be used as an approximation for velocity. It is possible for the radio controller on the ground to obtain the velocity of the rotorcraft but it is not possible for the pilot to get velocity data from primary radar.
