I have been asked this question in an internship interview.

The doubt is from Mole Fraction and Mass(Weight) Fraction in division Moles, Density & Concentration of Basic Chemical Engineering

The explanation is: Since the mole fraction is ratio of the moles of solute and the moles of solution, it has no unit.
