My question comes from Types of Pattern in section Pattern and Pattern Making of Casting-Forming-Welding I

Right option is (d) Segmental pattern

The best I can explain: The following figure we see there is a pivot. This pivot rotates in two directions namely, clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. A pattern with such an apparatus is called as Segmental pattern.
