In the case of allosteric enzymes what is the graphical representation when initial velocity is plotted against substrate concentration?

(b) Hyperbola

(c) Sigmoid curve

(d) Parabola

The question was posed to me during an online exam.

Question is taken from Regulatory Enzymes in section Enzymes, Carbohydrates and Gycobiology of Biochemistry

The correct choice is (c) Sigmoid curve

For explanation I would say: Allosteric enzymes do not obey Michaelis-Menten kinetics. So the curve is not hyperbolic.
