In the figure below, what does ‘a’ represents?

(a) Combustion chamber

(b) Wash mill

(c) Kiln

(d) Dryer

The question was asked by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

I need to ask this question from Manufacture of Cement topic in division Materials for Construction of Basic Civil Engineering

Correct answer is (c) Kiln

Best explanation: After the raw materials are mixed thoroughly, they need to be burned.  Hence, ‘a’ in the figure stands for kiln.
