For explanation I would say: The operations of fabricating 3D part in the electron beam melting (EBM) are very similar to that of laser beam melting (LBM). However, the major differences between the two systems are the different thickness of powder layer and different building speed which is generally high in the LBM system which gives rise to more rapid cooling in the fabrication of small size specimens.
