Correct answer is (a) True

To explain I would say: In deep or cup drawing, the tensile stress is generally generated on the sheet at several locations within the die cavity. Maximum tensile stress is induced near the end of punch, at the profile of punch, because the metal sheet bends over the edge of punch due to inducing of tensile stresses in the punch.
