Which of the below is used to sound proof bricks?

(a) Gypsum

(b) Terracotta

(c) Plastics

This question was posed to me by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

My enquiry is from Qualities of Good Brick topic in division Materials for Construction of Basic Civil Engineering

Right answer is (b) Terracotta

The best I can explain: Terracotta is an acoustic material. It will absorb the sound waves and render the brick sound proof.
