Which polymer is considered cheap effective and has excellent physical and electrical properties?

(a) Phenolics

(b) Epoxy resin

This question was addressed to me in homework.

My question is based upon Polycondensation in chapter Polymerization Industries of Chemical Technology

The correct answer is (a) Phenolics

To elaborate: Phenolics are low cost polymers with excellent physical and electrical properties and fast curing characteristics. Pigments are added to enhance its colour.
