What is the type of current caused due to variations in the field?

(a) Displacement current

(b) Conduction current

(c) Both conduction and displacement current

(d) Neither conduction nor displacement current

The question was posed to me in homework.

I would like to ask this question from Leakage and Conduction Currents in Capacitors in division Capacitance and Capacitors of Basic Electrical Engineering

The correct option is (a) Displacement current

For explanation I would say: Displacement current is the current where no charge carriers are involved. It is caused due to variations in the electric field.
