The cost of transporting materials does not depends upon the following factor ________

(a) cost of owing or hire charges of the vehicle

(b) loading capacity of the vehicle

(c) labour cost for loading and unloading

(d) elevation of road

The question was asked in a job interview.

Right option is (d) elevation of road

The best explanation: Trucking companies (AE) or haulage companies / hauliers (BE) accept cargo for road transport. Truck drivers operate either independently – working directly for the client – or through freight carriers or shipping agents. This also applies to shipments that are transported out of a free port.
