The correct choice is (d) spiral

For explanation I would say: In case of transition curves, if traffic condition is mixed then provision of speed is limited to 60% of max. Speed of vehicle. One side of curve will higher then the other side for the case of accident of traffic.

Ideal Transition curve: Spiral or clothoid (Lemniscate for modern roads).

Valley curve: Cubic parabola.

Vertical curve: Parabola.
