In a caudal block, where is the anesthesia injected?

(a) Thoracic Canal

(b) Lumbar Canal

(c) Sacral Canal

(d) Coccyx Canal

I got this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

My question comes from Anaesthesia Pre and Post Care topic in division Anaesthesia of Clinical Science

Right choice is (c) Sacral Canal

Explanation: Caudal means the posterior thus the caudal block anesthetizes the lower parts of the body. Since the sacral canal has nerves that supply to the lower regions, thus injecting anesthesia in the sacral region numbs the lower extremities.
