Which of the four limbs acts like a ground and thus is not a part of the ECG test?

(a) Right Arm

(b) Left Arm

(c) Right Leg

(d) Left Leg

This question was posed to me in an interview for internship.

I'm obligated to ask this question of Electrocardiography in portion Diagnostic Investigation in Neurology and Cardiology of Clinical Science

Correct choice is (c) Right Leg

The explanation: In the various combinations to take ECG, the right leg is considered to be grounded and so no leads are placed on it to take an ECG. It may sometimes have a lead line for grounding but otherwise, that leg does not take part in ECG testing.
