The correct choice is (c) Extinction coefficient

Best explanation: A pulse oximeter shows the percentage of arterial hemoglobin in the oxyhemoglobin (HbO2) and hemoglobin (Hb). This observation A = -logT = log I0/I = ɛDC where Io and I are incident and transmitted light intensities, e is the extinction coefficient, D is the depth of the absorbing layer and C is concentration.
