Which of the following is used to determine the biological response of the biosensor?

(a) artificial membrane

(b) chemical membrane

(c) physio-chemical membrane

(d) biocatalytic membrane

The question was posed to me in an interview.

My question is from Transmission of Analog Physiological Signals Over Telephone topic in section Biomedical Telemetry of Biomedical Instrumentation

The correct answer is (d) biocatalytic membrane

The best I can explain: The biocatalytic membrane accomplishes the conversion of reactant to product. The product of the reaction diffuses to the transducer. The biological response of the biosensor is determined by biocatalytic membrane.  This then causes the electrical response.
