Which of the following modulation type is incompatible with class C operation?

(a) Frequency modulation

(b) BPSK

(c) QPSK

(d) QAM

This question was addressed to me in an interview.

My question is based upon RF and IF Processing Tradeoffs topic in division Technology Tradeoffs in Software Defined Radio of Cognitive Radio

Right answer is (d) QAM

For explanation: Class C operation is incompatible with amplitude sensitive modulation type such as QAM. However it does not face any complication with amplitude insensitive modulation type such as FM.
