What is the order of accuracy of the forward Euler method?

(a) First-order

(b) Second-order

(c) Third-order

I had been asked this question at a job interview.

Correct choice is (a) First-order

To explain I would say: The forward Euler method has the least accuracy in the two-level methods of approximating ODEs. They are first-order accurate. But, the Taylor series expansion of the forward Euler method says it to be a second-order accurate scheme.
