Explanation: In Ashlar fine masonry, the beds, sides and faces are finely chiseled dressed. The stones are arranged in proper Bond and the thickness of mortar joint does not exceed 3 mm. This type of construction gives perfectly smooth appearance, but it is costly in construction.
