Evaporator which promotes natural circulation is?

(a) Horizontal tube evaporator

(b) Vertical tube evaporator

(c) Vacuum pan evaporator

(d) Forced circulation evaporator

I got this question in final exam.

I'd like to ask this question from Evaporator topic in section Building Blocks of Dairy Processing of Dairy Engineering

Correct answer is (b) Vertical tube evaporator

Easiest explanation: In vertical tube evaporator, heating and boiling of liquid cause it to rise and flow upwards and un-evaporated liquid flows down through the central large diameter tube. Thus natural circulation is promoted in this type of evaporator.
