This question was posed to me in an international level competition.

My question is based upon Correlative Coding in portion Formatting and Baseband Modulation of Digital Communications

Correct option is (c) EXOR-ed

For explanation I would say: To avoid error propogation precoding method is used. In this each bit is encoded individually without having any effect due to its prior bit or decisions.
