Which modulation is the most efficient one?

(a) BPSK

(b) BFSK

(c) QPSK

(d) QAM

This question was posed to me during an interview.

I'm obligated to ask this question of Bandwidth Efficiency Plane and Bandwidth Efficient Modulation topic in chapter Modulation and Coding Trade-off of Digital Communications

The correct answer is (d) QAM

To elaborate: Of all the modulation showed, QAM is the most bandwidth efficient one.
