What is the formula of the most economical relation between D and L?

(a) length = 0.6 * diameter

(b) length = 0.5 / diameter

(c) length = 0.6 / diameter

(d) length = 0.63 * diameter

I got this question in an interview for internship.

My question is based upon Operating Characteristics topic in portion Design of Single Phase Induction Motor of Design of Electrical Machines
