In which machine is the pulsation losses considerable?

(b) induction motors

I got this question in an internship interview.

My question is taken from Pulsation Losses & Types of Leakages in portion Principles of Magnetic Circuit Design of Design of Electrical Machines

The correct choice is (b) induction motors

To explain I would say: The pulsation losses are aggravated if the length of air gap is small than the slot openings. The pulsation losses although are considerable in the induction motors.
