This intriguing question comes from Behaviour of Compression Members & Types of Sections in division Design of Compression Members of Design of Steel Structures

Correct answer is (d) less than 3m

To elaborate: Rods and bars withstand very little compression when length is more. Hence these are recommended for lengths less than 3m only.
