I had been asked this question in a job interview.

My doubt is from Cartesian Coordinate System in section Coordinate Systems and Transforms of Electromagnetic Theory

Correct choice is (d) Geometry

To elaborate: The coordinate system is chosen based on the geometry of the given problem. From a point charge +Q, the electric field spreads in all 360 degrees. The calculation of electric field in this case will be spherical system.
