The question was posed to me in an online quiz.

My question is based upon Types of Polarization topic in chapter EM Wave Propagation of Electromagnetic Theory

Right answer is (c) Linear

To explain I would say: The phase angle between the Ex and Ey component is 0^0 and 180^0 for linearly polarised wave. The wave is assumed to be propagating in the z direction.
