I got this question during an interview for a job.

My question comes from Cut-off Frequency and Wavelength topic in section Waveguides of Electromagnetic Theory

Right answer is (a) Attenuation constant

Easiest explanation: The propagation constant is given by γ = α + jβ. Here the real part is the attenuation constant and the imaginary part is the phase constant.
