What is meant by stability of the an amplified signal?

(a) The amplified signal must have a finite amplitude

(b) The amplified signal should not have self oscillation

(c) The input and the output signal must be proportional

(d) The ratio of the input and the output signal must be finite

I have been asked this question in an online quiz.

My question is based upon Amplifiers in division Signals and Amplifiers of Electronic Devices & Circuits

Right answer is (b) The amplified signal should not have self oscillation

To explain I would say: The ability of the amplifier to prevent self oscillation is a measure of its stability.
