If a MOSFET is to be used in the making of an amplifier then it must work in

(a) Cut-off region

(b) Triode region

(c) Saturation region

(d) Both cut-off and triode region can be used

This question was addressed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

The correct answer is (c) Saturation region

Explanation: Only in the saturation region a MOSFET can operate as an amplifier.
