What is the voltage gain of an emitter follower amplifier?

The question was posed to me in an interview for internship.

I would like to ask this question from The Emitter Follower in division Low Frequency Transistor Amplifier Circuit of Electronic Devices & Circuits

Right option is (a) 1

Explanation: The voltage gain of an emitter follower amplifier configuration is roughly equal to unity. AV is approximately equal to 1. This is due to the relatively high input impedance and low output impedance.
