Which of the following can switch the current by a make or break contact?

(a) transistor

(b) relay

(c) buffer

(d) fet

This question was posed to me in unit test.

My question comes from Power Controls topic in portion Interfacing to the Analog World of Embedded Systems

The correct answer is (b) relay

To explain: The relays are a kind of switching power in which the logic signal is used to energise the relay. The relay contacts are break or make accordingly and helps in switching the current.
