Why is lubrication system important in the engine?

(a) To improve fuel efficiency

(b) To provide cooling

(c) To reduce the disturbance

(d) To help move the fuel easily

I got this question in an interview for job.

Right option is (c) To reduce the disturbance

Explanation: Due to the presence of friction, wear and tear of the engine parts takes place reducing the engine life. The lubricant introduced forms a thin film between the rubbing surfaces and prevents metal to metal contact.
