I have been asked this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

My question is from Problems Associated with Geothermal Conversion in division Ocean Energy & Geothermal Energy of Energy Engineering

Right option is (a) True

The best I can explain: Some fears have been expressed that prolonged geothermal exploitation could trigger off earth quakes especially if reinjection is practiced in zones of higher shear stresses where fairly large temperature differentiation occurs.
