According to NRGBA which is the national river of India?

(a) Yamuna

(b) Brahmaputra

(c) Krishna

(d) Ganges

I had been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

My doubt is from The State of India’s Rivers in portion Environmental Pollution of Energy Management

Correct option is (d) Ganges

To explain I would say: NRGBA was established by the Central Government of India on 20 February 2009 under Environment Protection Act, 1986. The chair includes the Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of states through which Ganges flows. It declared the Ganges as the National River of India.
