I had been asked this question at a job interview.

My question is taken from Global Warming topic in chapter Social Issues and the Environment of Energy Management

Correct choice is (c) Desertification

To explain I would say: Desertification is one of the effects of global warming. Causing water shortages and an intense amount of distress in the dry regions which are degraded into forest. This process is called desertification.
