What kind of behavior can phase rule identify?

The question was posed to me in an international level competition.

I'd like to ask this question from Application of Phase Rule to One Component System topic in section Phase Rule of Engineering Chemistry I

The correct answer is (b) Linear behavior

The explanation: In a general phase relation between temperature and concentration of the component of various systems, the general graph will show a proportionate relation between the two factors and hence phase rule identifies linear behavior.
