My doubt is from Phases and Components topic in section Phase Rule of Engineering Chemistry I

Right choice is (d) 4

To explain I would say: Since it is a reactive system, we have N=9 (taking all the ions into consideration along with individual species) and also we have E=5 (considering all the neutral reactions). Therefore C = N – E = 9-5 = 4.
