Which type of coals have the highest grindability index?

(a) Steam coals

(b) Gas coals

(c) House coals

(d) Pulverised coals

The question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

I would like to ask this question from Characteristics of Coal in portion Fuels and Combustion of Engineering Chemistry II

Correct option is (d) Pulverised coals

To explain I would say: Grindability is the ease with which a coal can be grounded. The grindability index of pulverised coal is about 100. This is because of the volatile matter present in the coal, the higher the volatile matter of coal, the more will be its grindability index.
