Why does anthracite is used in drying mal and hops?

(a) Due to its high calorific value

(b) Due to its low volatile matter

(c) Due to low arsenic content present in it

(d) Due to high carbon content present in it

The question was posed to me in examination.

I would like to ask this question from Solid Fuels topic in chapter Fuels and Combustion of Engineering Chemistry II

Correct option is (c) Due to low arsenic content present in it

The best explanation: Anthracite contains less than 1 % of arsenic due to which it does not affect on the properties of mal and hops during their drying. Due to this reason we do not use semi-bituminous coal for drying mal and hops.
